Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Payroll Specialist to join our team based in Asturias, Spain

The Payroll specialist is responsible for supporting accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operations for the UK and selected TMF-managed EMEA countries. Acts as a regional payroll operations resource focused on vendor coordination, payroll validation, issue resolution, country compliance support, process documentation, and continuous improvement across a multi-country payroll portfolio. The role will be reporting to the Regional Payroll Manager EMEA.

Where You'll Make a Difference

- Manage payroll coordination and day-to-day payroll operations for the UK and selected TMF-managed EMEA countries.
- Support payroll coverage across countries that may include the UK, Croatia, Egypt, Italy, Poland, South Africa, Switzerland, Türkiye, and the United Arab Emirates, depending on final country allocation and candidate experience.
- Coordinate payroll inputs, processing activities, validations, payroll outputs, and issue resolution with TMF and other payroll vendors.
- Validate payroll data, payroll outputs, statutory reporting, country-specific requirements, and payroll-related deliverables.
- Ensure payroll activities comply with applicable country payroll legislation, tax requirements, statutory obligations, and vendor service expectations.
- Partner closely with HR, Finance, Legal, Total Rewards, Shared Services, and regional payroll leadership to support payroll-related activity.
- Review payroll exceptions, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate timely issue resolution across countries and vendors.
- Support employee lifecycle events impacting payroll,



including hires, terminations, leaves, compensation changes, mobility events, and organizational changes.
- Maintain country payroll documentation, process maps, controls, vendor handoffs, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor vendor performance, service timelines, issue trends, and escalation requirements across assigned countries.
- Support internal controls, audit activities, compliance reviews, and payroll governance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll efficiency, employee experience, data quality, vendor performance, reporting, and operational effectiveness.

First 12-Month Objectives

- Successfully support payroll continuity and Day 1 readiness for assigned UK and multi-country payroll operations during the transition to a standalone organization.
- Establish strong operating relationships with TMF, other payroll vendors, HR, Finance, Legal, Total Rewards, and regional payroll leadership.
- Complete payroll process documentation and validation of key country controls, vendor handoffs, and compliance requirements.
- Improve payroll issue resolution processes and reduce recurring payroll exceptions across assigned countries.
- Strengthen payroll governance, vendor performance monitoring, compliance tracking, and audit readiness.
- Support payroll stabilization and process improvement initiatives across the EMEA payroll organization.

What Makes You the Right Fit





- Demonstrated payroll experience supporting Belgium payroll operations; Netherlands payroll exposure strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Belgian payroll legislation, social security requirements, statutory reporting, and country-specific payroll obligations.
- Working knowledge of Netherlands payroll practices, Dutch statutory requirements, or ability to support Netherlands payroll with vendor partnership.
- Experience supporting payroll operations within manufacturing, unionized, or labor-intensive environments.
- Experience working with collective bargaining agreements, labor unions, employee representative bodies, or country-specific workforce governance structures.
- Experience partnering with outsourced payroll providers or payroll vendors.
- Strong payroll controls, compliance, issue resolution, and problem-solving capability.
- Strong business English; Dutch and/or French language capability preferred depending on final country coverage.
