Hospital Health Data Governance Lead (AI Training)

About The Role

What if your expertise in healthcare data governance could directly shape how AI understands, interprets, and works with clinical and operational health data? We're looking for experienced health data governance leaders to help ensure hospital data used in AI training is accurate, trusted, compliant, and ready for real-world clinical and analytical use.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You'll bring your deep knowledge of healthcare data systems, privacy frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration — and apply it at the frontier of AI development.

What You'll Do

- Define and enforce data governance standards that ensure hospital health records are accurate, consistent, and secure
- Collaborate with clinical, IT, compliance, and operational stakeholders to align data policies and workflows
- Evaluate and improve the quality of healthcare data used to support AI model training and evaluation
- Identify gaps in data integrity, privacy compliance, and governance controls — and recommend practical solutions
- Enable governed, high-quality data pipelines that support patient care, reporting, analytics, and AI model development
- Work independently and asynchronously on structured, task-based assignments

Who You Are





- Experienced in healthcare data governance, clinical data operations, or health data management
- Strong understanding of healthcare privacy, compliance, and regulatory frameworks — including HIPAA
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with clinical, technical, and administrative stakeholders
- Detail-oriented and systematic, with a track record of maintaining data quality at scale
- Clear and structured communicator who can translate complex data policies into actionable standards

Nice to Have

- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training datasets
- Background in health informatics, clinical informatics, or health IT systems
- Familiarity with EHR platforms, interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR), or data warehousing in healthcare
- Experience in healthcare compliance auditing or regulatory reporting
