About the Department The HSE department helps the business execute the company strategy while maintaining a safe, compliant, and zero-harm work environment across our operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for regional HSE programs and processes, acting as a key point of contact for HSE topics
- Support and guide team resources (including shop floor and plant technicians) to build a proactive HSE culture throughout the value chain
- Coordinate continuous regional improvement, development, and effective implementation of integral and regional HSE initiatives
- Continually assess emerging HSE risks and control effectiveness across the region, facilitating proactive action alongside regional and global functions
- Establish and ensure a consistent, aligned implementation of HSE management systems across the site and region
- Support and guide team resources to build a proactive HSE culture throughout the value chain
- Monitor performance and compliance, intervening or stopping processes and actions whenever HSE standards are not met
Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of direct experience in a similar HSE role, primarily in the industrial or manufacturing sector
- Technical background/engineering degree or solid technical foundation in occupational risk prevention (Riesgos Laborales); a practical, technical approach rather than solely administrative management is required
- High level of English (written and spoken) is essential
- Extensive operational, on-the-ground experience. Practical knowledge of manufacturing operations involving equipment safety, hazardous materials, and large-scale workforce coordination, beyond purely administrative work. Extensive operational, on-the-ground experience working directly on the factory floor alongside shop floor technicians, engineers, and plant managers
- Thorough understanding of national HSE regulations, chemical safety,
and industrial safety standards.
- University degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related technical discipline. Official University Master's Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (Master Oficial Universitario en PRL) is required.
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification (desirable)
- Mobility and flexibility for territorial travel as needed
