The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded, and pragmatic lawyer to join our International Legal team and support the strategic growth of our International business.
Based at our International Headquarters in Barcelona, you will become part of a highly collaborative legal team supporting multiple jurisdictions, with a particular focus on Spain.
You will serve as a trusted business partner, providing strategic legal advice on complex commercial transactions, key business initiatives, and regulatory matters, while ensuring effective risk management and compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.

The Senior International Counsel is a senior member of the International Legal team, reporting directly to the International General Counsel. This role provides strategic, commercially focused legal advice across multiple international jurisdictions, with a particular focus on Spain.
As a trusted business partner, the Senior International Counsel supports the Company's commercial, corporate, compliance and strategic legal needs, partnering closely with senior business leaders to facilitate the Company's international operations, manage legal risk and enable sustainable growth.
The role offers the opportunity to work and contribute to strategic initiatives across a dynamic, fast-paced and highly regulated healthcare technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements with customers, suppliers, strategic partners and other third parties in both English and Spanish.
- Support cross-border projects and business initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.
- Provide practical, risk-based legal advice to business leaders on commercial, corporate, operational and regulatory matters.
- Advise on corporate governance matters, including corporate records, board and shareholder resolutions, statutory filings,
corporate reorganizations and other strategic corporate transactions.
- Provide legal guidance on data protection and privacy matters, working closely with Privacy and Information Security teams to ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
- Collaborate closely with Commercial, Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Technology, Medical, Privacy and other cross-functional teams to deliver pragmatic, business-oriented legal solutions.
- Instruct, manage and oversee external counsel across different jurisdictions, ensuring high-quality advice and cost-effective legal support.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified lawyer with 5–10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably gained within an international law firm and/or multinational company.
- Significant experience negotiating commercial agreements and advising on corporate governance and data protection matters in an international environment.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex legal matters while balancing legal risk with commercial objectives.
- Previous experience in the healthcare, life sciences, technology or other highly regulated industries is highly desirable.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, drafting and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and international environment.
- Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required. Additional European languages are considered an asset.
