Become the regulatory expert behind one of Chemours' most strategic businesses
Regulations are changing faster than ever. REACH requirements continue to evolve, F-gas legislation is reshaping markets, and companies need experts who can translate complex regulatory developments into practical business decisions.
That is where this opportunity becomes interesting.
At Chemours, we are looking for a Senior REACH Regulatory Compliance Consultant to support our Thermal & Specialized Solutions (TSS) business across EMEA. In this role, you will own a critical regulatory portfolio and help ensure that Chemours products remain compliant, competitive, and available to customers in an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.
This is not a role where you simply maintain documentation. You will influence business decisions, support market access, engage with industry associations, assess emerging regulations, and help shape how Chemours responds to regulatory developments impacting fluorinated chemistries and climate-friendly cooling technologies.
What you will be doing
As one of the key regulatory experts within our Product Sustainability team, you will combine deep technical knowledge with business impact.
You will
- Own REACH compliance activities and registration dossiers for part of the TSS business
- Assess the impact of evolving EU REACH and F-gas regulations
- Translate regulatory requirements into clear business actions
- Support product, substance, customer and market access compliance activities
- Partner with commercial, technical, legal and product stewardship teams
- Prepare regulatory documentation, compliance statements and impact assessments
- Engage with industry associations, consortia and regulatory authorities
- Drive continuous improvement of regulatory processes and tools
One day you may be evaluating the business impact of a new regulatory development. The next, you may be supporting a customer inquiry, contributing to an industry working group, or advising stakeholders on how regulatory changes could affect a product portfolio.
What makes this opportunity different?
This role offers an unusual balance of ownership and collaboration. You will have responsibility for your own business area while being part of a team of experienced REACH specialists who actively share expertise and support each other. The work is complex, the regulatory environment continues to evolve, and your expertise will directly influence business continuity, sustainability initiatives, and future growth opportunities.
You will also join a company where product stewardship, sustainability and regulatory excellence are genuinely strategic priorities.
What we are looking for
We are interested in professionals who can operate independently and bring strong hands-on REACH expertise from a chemical manufacturing, fluorochemical, refrigerants, specialty chemicals or product stewardship environment.
You will likely bring
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, biochemistry, biological sciences or similar
- Around 6+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, product compliance or product stewardship
- Strong experience managing REACH registration dossiers (at least ~3 years)
- Experience using IUCLID and REACH-IT
- Knowledge of fluorinated chemistries
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical actions
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluent English
Experience that would be a plus
- CLP expertise
- UK REACH or Turkey KKDIK experience
- Knowledge of F-gas regulations is a nice to have
- Knowledge of PFAS, microplastics or restriction processes
- SAP EHS, Power BI or compliance database experience
- Industry association participation
- Dutch, French or another European language
