Global Raw Materials Procurement Specialist
Would you like to join a multinational industrial company and play a key role in the integral procurement of raw materials?
We are looking for a Global Raw Materials Procurement Specialist to join the Global Procurement team of a multinational industrial company with manufacturing operations across Europe and Latin America.
This is an international role with a strong focus on Direct Procurement and Raw Materials, working closely with the local procurement teams across the Group's manufacturing sites.
The successful candidate will contribute to the definition and implementation of the global sourcing strategy for key raw material categories, supporting supplier development, cost optimization, supply security and the identification of synergies across the organization.
Your mission
As a Global Raw Materials Procurement Specialist, you will support the definition and execution of the Group's global procurement strategy for raw materials and production-related materials.
You will work closely with local Procurement teams and key stakeholders across Production, Supply Chain, Quality and Engineering to ensure competitive sourcing, security of supply and the development of a strong and reliable international supplier base.
A key part of your role will be understanding raw material markets, price evolution, supply risks and cost drivers, using this knowledge to support negotiations and procurement decisions at Group level.
Key responsibilities
- Support the definition and implementation of the global sourcing strategy for raw materials across the Group's manufacturing sites.
- Manage and develop strategic relationships with national and international raw material suppliers.
- Lead and support supplier sourcing, qualification, evaluation and development processes.
- Participate in the negotiation of global framework agreements and strategic supply contracts.
- Monitor raw material markets, price trends, commodities and key cost drivers to anticipate risks and identify purchasing opportunities.
- Analyze procurement spend across different plants to identify synergies, volume consolidation opportunities and potential savings.
- Support local Procurement teams in strategic negotiations and sourcing initiatives.
- Work closely with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure security and continuity of supply, anticipating potential shortages or market disruptions.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering and Production teams in the qualification of alternative materials and suppliers.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, standardization and supplier consolidation.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, service and delivery.
- Contribute to the development of procurement KPIs, spend analysis and market intelligence.
- Participate in continuous improvement, digitalization and procurement transformation initiatives.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Around 5–8 years of experience in Procurement within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Solid experience in Direct Procurement, with particular exposure to raw materials.
- Experience managing and negotiating with national and international suppliers.
- Good understanding of raw material markets, pricing mechanisms and cost drivers.
- Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development and contract negotiation.
- Ability to analyze market trends and translate them into sourcing and negotiation strategies.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders in different countries and manufacturing sites.
- High level of English, essential for the position.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel; knowledge of reporting and data analysis tools will be valued.
