Przemysław Neumann Director of the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin (PL) announces audition for the CELLO (tutti).Required documents should be e-mailed until 26-05-2025 to
[email protected], with the note "Audition – CELLO".
Audition will take place on 04-06-2025, 00:00 at Szczecin Philharmonic chamber hall. Szczecin Philharmonic will provide an accompanist for auditions.
The audition time will be provided at a later date.
Contract: full-time
Average wage: information upon request
Audition repertoire
Audition Program (required excerpts from orchestral works are marked in the sheet music):
J. S. Bach: One movement of your choice from the Solo Cello Suites BWV 1007-1012.
J. Haydn: First movement (without cadenza) of one of the following cello concertos:
C major Hob. VIIb/1
D major Hob. VIIb/2 (ed. Gendron)
Orchestral excerpts:
W. A. Mozart: The Marriage of Figaro – Overture
B. Smetana: The Bartered Bride – Overture
J. Brahms: Symphony No. 3 Op. 90
F. Mendelssohn: Symphony No. 4 "Italian"
P. Tchaikovsky: Symphony No. 6 Op. 74
Additional information
Szczecin Philharmonic will provide an accompanist for auditions.
After completing the recruitment process and selecting the best candidate, a contract will be concluded.
Qualifications Required And Experience
A diploma of higher education, at least a bachelor's degree(specialization: instrumental performance – cello).
Professional orchestral experience and familiarity with the symphonic repertoire are highly desirable.
