Experteer Overview
As Lead, Product Management for ELL Institutional Courseware, you own Pearson’s integral English courseware portfolio across print, blended, and digital formats. You will shape investment, localisation, and retirement decisions to drive sustainable revenue and improve student outcomes. You’ll lead a ~15-person global team and align Product, Content, Sales, Marketing, and Finance toward a clear portfolio direction while steering the digital and AI-enabled transition. This role offers impact at scale in a global education business with cross-functional collaboration.

• Define and execute the integral portfolio strategy and roadmap for institutional courseware based on customer needs, market opportunities, learning outcomes, and commercial performance
• Manage portfolio investments, prioritisation, localisation, innovation, and lifecycle decisions
• Act as senior product authority, providing strategic recommendations to the ELL Leadership Team
• Develop deep understanding of learners, educators, institutions, ministries, and partners across priority markets
• Use customer insight, trends, learning evidence, and performance data to drive product and investment decisions
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact learning solutions balancing value, learning outcomes, quality, speed, and commercial results
• Validate opportunities through customer research, pilots, and data-driven decision-making
• Drive the evolution from print-first products to digital, blended, and AI-enabled experiences
• Identify and scale responsible AI opportunities meeting standards for transparency, safety, privacy, accessibility, and IP compliance
• Develop business cases, pricing strategies, and investment recommendations; optimise or retire underperforming products
• Establish and monitor success metrics across outcomes, adoption, engagement, satisfaction, revenue, and profitability
• Lead and develop a global team of ~15 product professionals; foster accountability, collaboration, and innovation
• Build a culture focused on customer/discovery, strategy, and AI-enabled product development
• Ensure alignment across Product, Content, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance and Technology
Responsabilidades
• Relevant experience in product management and portfolio leadership, including leading multiple teams or managers
• Proven success in setting strategy and investment choices across a complex product portfolio
• Track record turning customer insight into differentiated products and commercial outcomes
• Experience owning business cases and managing performance against revenue, profitability, and ROI
• Strong judgement on investment, prioritisation, pricing, packaging, and portfolio rationalisation
• Experience leading cross-functional product development in a global, matrixed organisation
• Experience building product teams and developing product leaders
• Experience in education, publishing, courseware, EdTech or learning products is strongly preferred
• Experience applying AI, data, or emerging technology to products is preferred
• No specific degree required; relevant experience valued
