Experteer Overview
In this role, you will be the senior legal partner supporting Reuters’ global business from Barcelona, working in a hybrid setup. You’ll structure and negotiate commercial agreements across sales, product, technology, content licensing, and SaaS, while advising Go-to-Market and other functions on contracting best practices and risk. You will help ensure privacy, data security, IP, and regulatory compliance in collaboration with Thomson Reuters and Reuters lawyers worldwide. Your work safeguards Reuters’ trust principles and contributes to the growth of a global news business.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Review and structure commercial agreements across sales, product, technology, finance, content licensing partnerships, events, SaaS, digital advertising and sponsorship
• Provide in-house commercial legal support to Reuters’ global business units
• Counsel Go-to-Market teams on contracting best practices, negotiations, and risk management
• Analyze contractual matters to offer practical solutions balancing risk and business objectives
• Collaborate with Reuters and Thomson Reuters lawyers to ensure compliance with privacy, data security, IP,



and regulatory standards
• Safeguard Thomson Reuters Trust Principles and uphold integrity and independence

Responsabilidades
• Fluency in English
• Licensed to practice law in Spain (JD/Law degree from an accredited law school)
• Minimum eight years of practicing lawyer experience; in-house experience preferred
• Extensive transactional experience in drafting and negotiating major content licensing, distribution and other complex agreements; strong IP/copyright knowledge
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• Solutions-oriented self-starter who manages complex matters with minimal supervision; can convey complex legal concepts concisely
