An opportunity for a Landing Gear Engineerhas arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid).

Our multidisciplinary and multicultural team is responsible for the end-to-end engineering life cycle of landing gear systems across military platforms. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the A-400M Program, taking ownership of complex system architectures and structural designs. You will face key technical challenges in qualification, certification, and in-service support, ensuring our products meet the highest safety, operational, and industrial performance standards.

Responsibilities:
The main tasks of the jobholder will be:
- Design and specifyLanding Gear systems, subsystems, components, and structural architectures according to safety, quality, cost, and operational requirements.
- Perform load, stress, and risk analysesto qualify and certify Landing Gear modules throughout the system lifecycle.
- Drive system integration and V&V;(Verification & Validation) processes, ensuring full alignment with A-400M program configuration and safety standards.




- Manage continued airworthinessand deliver technical risk and safety assessments for critical operational challenges.
- Provide expert engineering supportto MAP (Mise Au Point), Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and customer support functions.
- Lead technical interactions with suppliersand internal stakeholders, anticipating program needs and resolving critical challenges.

- Education:Aeronautical Engineering Degree or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in the Aeronautical and Military industries.
- At least 5 years of experience in the A-400M Program.
- At least 5 years of experience within a Landing Gear Design Office (DO).
- Technical Knowledge & Tools:
- Deep expertise in Landing Gear systems design, load/stress analysis, specification gene
