Responsibilities
Design highly scalable, mission-critical market-data provider services.
Build and productionize services and libraries for Alpaca’s streaming and historical market-data APIs.
Maintain software quality and test coverage.
Participate in code reviews.
Troubleshoot incidents and reported bugs.
Requirements
BSc/MSc in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least three years of backend software development experience.
Hands-on experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
Understanding of POSIX-like operating systems, modern infrastructure, and orchestration practices.
Experience with large datasets, SQL, IP networking, financial markets, or a major cloud platform is beneficial.
Kubernetes certifications such as CKA or CKAD are a plus.
Experience with shell scripting, Linux, Docker, and microservice architectures is beneficial.
