Amentum, a general leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Dynamometer Operator to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia.
The Dynamometer Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and ensuring the safe and effective use of the dynamometer system consistent with organizational goals and safety standards. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Operating all aspects of the dynamometer system per operational guidelines and procedures.
Ensuring that the system operates within defined technical parameters to meet testing and diagnostic requirements.
Performing routine setup, calibration, and maintenance of the dynamometer system to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
Identifying, troubleshooting, and reporting system malfunctions or performance issues.
Documenting operational activities, maintenance tasks, and test results in defined reporting systems.
Ensuring compliance with safety, health,
and environmental regulations during system operation and maintenance.
Submitting training and qualification documentation to the Contracting Officer (KO) for approval prior to hiring.
Required Qualifications
Employees must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.
Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment.
Proven training and qualification in the operation of dynamometer systems.
Ability to safely and independently operate, monitor, and maintain the dynamometer system.
