Commissioning MV Engineer – Data Centre Project | Spain

We are currently looking for an experienced Commissioning MV Engineer to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Spain.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced MV commissioning professional with a strong background in medium-voltage systems, switchgear, protection and critical power infrastructure to work on a large-scale data centre project.

Key Responsibilities

Commissioning and testing of MV electrical systems
Testing and commissioning of MV switchgear and associated equipment
Functional testing of MV circuit breakers, protection systems, CTs and VTs
Carrying out primary and secondary injection testing
Testing of protection relays and trip circuits
Supporting L1–L5 commissioning activities
Reviewing electrical drawings, schematics and commissioning procedures
Completing commissioning test sheets, reports and documentation
Identifying, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during commissioning
Working closely with the commissioning team, electrical contractors, vendors and client representatives




Ensuring all MV commissioning activities are completed safely and in accordance with project requirements

Requirements

Proven experience as a Commissioning MV Engineer / MV Commissioning Engineer
Strong hands-on experience with MV switchgear and protection systems
Experience with MV circuit breakers, transformers, CTs and VTs
Knowledge of protection and control systems
Experience with testing equipment such as OMICRON CMC 356, CPC 100, Megger or equivalent
Experience within data centres, substations, utilities or other critical infrastructure
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams
Understanding of electrical testing and commissioning procedures
Relevant electrical/engineering qualifications
Strong communication and reporting skills
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced commissioning environment
