We are looking for a Simulation Engineer to join an established engineering company in Barcelona. You will develop and improve simulation capabilities for robotic actuators and drive systems, and contribute to the software tools that make these simulations accessible for engineering teams.
This is a hands-on technical role at the intersection of mechatronic engineering and software development. You will work closely with robotics, control and application engineers in a collaborative international environment.
Develop, validate and maintain simulation models for robotic drive systems motors, gearheads, sensors, controllers and mechanical loads
Create simulation workflows to evaluate drive performance, thermal behaviour and control response
Build user-friendly simulation interfaces, dashboards or web-based tools for engineering teams
Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Control Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Experience with Python, MATLAB/Simulink, Modelica or similar simulation tools
Interest in robotic actuators, drive systems and mechatronic system behaviour
Based in Barcelona or willing to commute 3 days per week
Professional English German is a plus
Full-stack development, web interfaces or data visualization experience
2D/3D visualization libraries
