In this role you contribute to successful technology and software development within ABB Robotics, acting as the first Ru0026amp;D contact for product issues and IP. You will prototype and test novel sensor calibration methods for autonomous robots and deploy calibration tools on AI-ready hardware. You collaborate across global teams to build reliable, scalable software and bring ideas from concept to impact in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.

• Prototype and test novel sensor calibration algorithms and evaluate their impact on precision and robustness
• Collaborate with project teams to perform root cause analysis and resolve calibration issues in the field
• Write algorithm and software infrastructure code, including feature design, implementation, and debugging
• Produce and maintain modern C++, Rust and Python code and participate in code reviews and design discussions




• Deploy calibration tools on the AI-ready ARM64 SoC powering thousands of robots
• Collaborate with a global team of software engineers in a learning-supported environment
Responsabilidades
• Degree in Computer Science, Robotics or a related field
• 3+ years of industry experience in software engineering, robotics or computer vision
• Strong C++ and Python skills with a focus on high-quality, performant code
• Experience with Rust is a plus; willingness to learn is required
• xqbhyrx Strong analytical skills with interest in statistics and gradient-based optimization
• Bonus: experience with SLAM, computer vision or robotics
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a integral team
• Proficient English communication
