We are working with a large international business expanding its IT Operations function. This is a strong opportunity for a junior engineer to build hands‑on experience supporting highly available NoSQL databases within a modern, general technology environment.

The role:

-

- Support the full lifecycle of NoSQL databases, from deployment and configuration through to monitoring, optimisation and upgrades

- Help maintain reliable, scalable database clusters across containerised and traditional environments

- Build monitoring, alerting and automation to improve database performance and reduce manual work

- Assist with incident response, capacity planning, documentation and disaster‑recovery readinessCollaborate with SRE, platform engineering and application teams on database‑related projects

What we’re looking for:

-

- 2+ years’ experience in IT Operations, SRE,



database administration or infrastructure engineering

- Hands‑on exposure to at least one NoSQL technology, such as MongoDB, Cassandra or Elasticsearch

- Good Linux administration and scripting skills, ideally Python and/or Shell

- Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet or similar automation tools

- Exposure to Docker and/or Kubernetes

- Understanding of monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimisation in distributed systems xqbhyrx

- Strong problem‑solving skills, clear communication and a willingness to learn

- Cloud certifications or knowledge of SQL databases would be beneficial
