Your Mission:
As part of Supernova's engineering team, the Process Engineering Intern will play a critical role in improving the post-processing workflow by systematically analyzing and optimizing cleaning and curing strategies for 3D printed parts. Your work will be instrumental in achieving our company's mission to deliver end-use parts at scale and cost. This hands‑on role will ensure that every part meets our high standards for quality and functionality. To excel in this position, you must have a strong sense of structure and be highly organized. Initially, the position is a 40 hour per week paid internship with the possibility of becoming a Junior Process Engineer within Supernova.
Key Responsibilities:
- Systematically analyze 3D printed parts to identify areas requiring post-processing, including cleaning, and curing of parts.
- Perform post-processing operations to ensure 3D printed parts meet the required specifications for final use.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly used and maintained.
- Document post-processing procedures and results to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist in the development and testing of new post-processing methods to improve efficiency and part quality.
About you:
- Fresh graduate with a bachelor’s degree in materials science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field with an outstanding academic performance (1st class honors),
- Strong interest in additive manufacturing and hands‑on experience with 3D printed parts.
- Basic understanding of post-processing techniques in 3D printing, such as ultrasonic or centrifugal washing, and UV curing, among others.
- Organized and analytical mindset, capable of conducting systematic studies and improving post-processing workflows.
- Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills and fluency in English.
