DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK/TASKS

Under the supervision of the survey coordinator and in close coordination with team members:

1-Prepare and clean the survey data for later analyses:

-manage the different data files, in particular combine different data
files (sav and csv formats), using the relevant statistical software.
-perform quality and consistency checks of the survey data.
-code and label all the variables and answer items in a relevant format.

2-Document all the programs and steps in the different statistical software (e.g. SPSS syntax files).

3-Analyse the data applying relevant statistical methods and techniques:

-carry out a descriptive analysis of the survey sample.
-carry out statistical analyses according to the analysis plan previously
defined by the survey coordinator and team.

4-Raise and discuss the advantages, drawbacks and limitations of the methods and techniques proposed.

5-Present regularly the results of the work to the supervisor (orally or in writing).





6-Contribute to the revision of the analysis plan with the supervisor and the team members.

Suggestions on statistical analyses are encouraged and welcome on an on-going basis.

Requisitos
REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:
Degree in statistics or similar

ESSENTIAL:

Very good statistical and data analysis skills.
Very good proficiency of SPSS, STATA and R (or similar statistical software and/or programming language).
Experience in carrying out the tasks described above.
Detail- and quality-oriented person.
Satisfactory knowledge of English (equivalent to B2 level).
Capacity to work well in a team, and also independently.
Good interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite - particularly Excel and Word.

ASSETS:

Experience in health statistics, epidemiology, exposure data, occupational safety and health .
Experience of cross-country data analysis.
Experience of an international/multicultural environment.
