Experteer Overview
In this role you guide capacity management and workload placement for Datadog’s Kubernetes platform, spanning multi-cloud environments and 100,000+ VMs. You shape scalable systems that optimize where and how workloads run across regions and clouds, directly enabling growth and performance. You will write production Go code to enhance Kubernetes capabilities and drive operational efficiency. This role combines technical leadership with cross-team collaboration to forecast demand and influence infrastructure decisions, delivering meaningful impact at scale.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Define technical direction for capacity management across a large Kubernetes platform spanning multiple clouds
• architect and build scheduling and deployment systems that balance capacity, reliability, and performance across regions
• Partner with infrastructure teams to evolve multi-region and multi-cloud capacity orchestration at scale
• Develop production software in Go to improve Kubernetes platform capabilities and automation




• Leverage capacity signals and data to inform infrastructure decisions and growth forecasting

Responsabilidades
• Significant experience designing and operating large-scale Kubernetes-based infrastructure or platform systems
• Strong software engineering background, proficient in Go or another systems programming language
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
• Strong systems mindset for solving complex infrastructure, scheduling, or capacity management challenges
• Experience with operational data, capacity forecasting, or data-driven decision-making
• Proven technical leadership across teams and influence on architecture without direct management authority
