Senior Data Scientist | Brussels | Healthcare Sector

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join a multidisciplinary Data & AI team working on impactful healthcare data solutions for a major Belgian public-sector organisation.

? Location: Brussels, Belgium – Hybrid

? Duration: 4 months and Extendable

? Contract: Full-time

? Industry: Healthcare

? Key Responsibilities

• Design and industrialise machine-learning solutions using Azure Databricks

• Develop anomaly detection, risk scoring and classification models

• Work with large-scale Belgian healthcare datasets

• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, analysts and healthcare experts

• Drive feature engineering, ML pipelines and MLOps

• Ensure explainability, security, privacy and responsible AI

• Provide technical leadership and coach team members

?️ Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Data Science / Machine Learning / Advanced Analytics

• Strong Python & SQL

• Azure Databricks & PySpark

• MLflow & MLOps

• Delta Lake,



Unity Catalog & Databricks Workflows

• Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps & Azure Storage

• Anomaly Detection, Classification & Clustering

• Explainable AI and Risk Modelling

• Git, CI/CD and automated testing

? Languages

?? French or ?? Dutch – native/mother tongue

?? English – professional working proficiency

Passive knowledge of the second national language is expected.

? Work Arrangement

Hybrid in Brussels, with teleworking possible within Belgium. Minimum 2 days/week onsite.
