Role

Tasks and responsibilities

In this hybrid role, you will take ownership of the day-to-day oversight of the external SOC provider as well as the execution of the Business Continuity Management lifecycle for Ageas Corporate Center. Acting as the primary bridge between internal operational teams, external security providers, and executive stakeholders, you will ensure seamless incident escalation, continuous risk monitoring, and full alignment with ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Continuity Management (BCM):

- Oversee and execute the end-to-end BCM activities for Ageas Corporate Center, ensuring alignment with ISO 22301 principles and guidelines.
- Conduct companywide Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and review BCM risk assessments across Corporate Center departments.
- Maintain, update, and test crisis management, emergency, and communication plans.
- Organize and coordinate key operational resilience exercises, including the annual datacenter reversal test in collaboration with IT suppliers.
- Ensure all BCM documentation is audit-ready and capable of providing clear evidence of compliance.

SOC Oversight & Incident Management:

- Maintain oversight of threat operations and incident response across Corporate Center tenants (e.g., Ag tenant, Ageas primary), acting as the key interface with the external SOC provider
- Participate in monthly QA meetings, track metrics, and monitor provider performance against SLAs.




- Act as the Incident Manager during major operational escalations (e.g., severe connectivity outages or major cyber incidents).
- Coordinate and actively participate in the Crisis Management Team when incidentsescalate to crisis level.

Governance & Security Oversight

- Report on BCM and SOC performance/KPIs to the Policy & Risk Committee (PRC) on a quarterly basis.
- Validate Corporate Center IT projects and solutions from a security perspective through Business Risk Assessments.
- Drive organization awareness regarding business continuity and information security practices across all Corporate Center departments.

Profile

Background and experience

- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Business Continuity Management, Security Operations, or IT Risk Management within a complex corporate environment.
- Demonstrated experience in vendor/supplier management (specifically managing external MSSP/SOC providers).
- Solid understanding of BCM standards (ISO 22301) and/or cybersecurity frameworks.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CBCI, CBCP, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer) are considered a strong asset.

Competences

- Autonomy & Ownership: Ability to independently organize, prioritize, and execute your work in a structured manner.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse departments, IT providers, and management.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong capacity to analyze complex incidents, assess risks, and translate technical data into actionable insights.
- Stress Resistance & Crisis Leadership: Calm and structured demeanor when managing major escalations or security incidents under pressure.
- Adaptability:



Eagerness to balance both governance/process-driven tasks (BCM) and technical oversight (SOC).

Languages

- Fluency in English (oral and written) is required, as it is the primary working language of Ageas HQ.
- Knowledge of Dutch or French is an asset.
