Commissioning MV Engineer – Data Centre Project | Spain

We are currently looking for an experienced Commissioning MV Engineer to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Spain.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced MV commissioning professional with a strong background in medium-voltage systems, switchgear, protection and critical power infrastructure to work on a large-scale data centre project.

Key Responsibilities

- Commissioning and testing of MV electrical systems
- Testing and commissioning of MV switchgear and associated equipment
- Functional testing of MV circuit breakers, protection systems, CTs and VTs
- Carrying out primary and secondary injection testing
- Testing of protection relays and trip circuits
- Supporting L1–L5 commissioning activities
- Reviewing electrical drawings, schematics and commissioning procedures
- Completing commissioning test sheets, reports and documentation
- Identifying, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during commissioning
- Working closely with the commissioning team, electrical contractors, vendors and client representatives
- Ensuring all MV commissioning activities are completed safely and in accordance with project requirements

Requirements





- Proven experience as a Commissioning MV Engineer / MV Commissioning Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with MV switchgear and protection systems
- Experience with MV circuit breakers, transformers, CTs and VTs
- Knowledge of protection and control systems
- Experience with testing equipment such as OMICRON CMC 356, CPC 100, Megger or equivalent
- Experience within data centres, substations, utilities or other critical infrastructure
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams
- Understanding of electrical testing and commissioning procedures
- Relevant electrical/engineering qualifications
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced commissioning environment
