What is it like to be a Composite Materials Engineer at DHV Technology?

As a Composite Materials Engineer at DHV Technology, you will be able to play a key role in leading and managing various aspects of our production of space materials. This position represents an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of advances in materials engineering, critical to driving innovation and ensuring the highest levels of quality and performance in our processes.

Responsabilities:

As a Composite Materials at DHV Technology, you will be involved in all technical phases of the manufacturing projects, including the following responsibilities:

- Design and develop material characterization programs for composite materials.
- Define and execute process validation campaigns to assess and qualify composite manufacturing processes.
- Prepare test plans, procedures,



and reports for material and process characterization and validation activities.
- Coordinate testing activities with internal and external laboratories.
- Design and validate test fixtures and tooling required for material and process testing.
- Manage qualification and acceptance testing activities for composite materials, components, and processes.
- Analyze experimental results and provide technical conclusions and recommendations based on test data.
- Develop and maintain databases of material and process properties based on experimental results.
- Participate in the qualification and approval of materials and suppliers.
- Lead continuous improvement activities related to special processes and composite manufacturing.
- Develop and update technical standards and specifications based on experimental evidence and test results.
- Provide technical support to Engineering, Production, and Quality teams on composite materials and manufacturing processes.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues and non conformities related to composite materials and manufacturing processes.

Education and Requirements:

To be considered for this position, the following qualifications are required:

- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, aeronautical, mechanical, chemical, material Engineering or similar.
- Master’s degree in aerospace engineering is desirable.
- At least B2 Upper intermediate level, C1 Advanced desirable.
- 2 years of experience in a similar position.

Technical Competencies

Candidates should possess the following technical competencies:

- Solid Works (or similar).




- Experience in structural analysis (FEMAP software or similar).
- Knowledge of metallic and composite materials.
- Familiarization with ECSS standards and methodologies.
