At Hays, we are looking for an EDGC Full Stack Software Engineer / Enterprise Architect to lead the design, architecture, development, and evolution of the Enterprise Data Governance Catalog platform. This role combines hands-on software engineering with solution architecture responsibilities, ensuring EDGC capabilities, integrations, and governance workflows align with enterprise data strategy, technology standards, scalability requirements, and compliance expectations.

What you will do

- Lead the design, architecture, development, and continuous evolution of the Enterprise Data Governance Catalog (EDGC) platform.
- Define technical roadmaps, target architecture, integration strategy, technology direction, and long-term platform modernization.
- Design and oversee architecture decisions across enterprise, solution, application, integration, event-driven, API-first, and microservices architectures.
- Deliver high-quality full stack solutions across Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, React and/or Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, and modern software design patterns.
- Enable metadata management, data catalog capabilities, data product lifecycle management, data sharing, lineage, and enterprise data governance workflows.
- Drive platform integration and workflow automation across data platform ecosystems, including Snowflake, SQL, and metadata/governance solutions.
- Oversee engineering quality through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based development, observability, and operational excellence practices.
- Provide technical leadership across architecture governance, Agile/Scrum delivery, vendor and stakeholder management, and risk/dependency management.





What we are looking for

- Strong architecture background: enterprise architecture, solution architecture, application architecture, integration architecture, event-driven architecture, API-first design, microservices architecture, system design, and technical roadmaps.
- Solid software engineering expertise with Java / Spring Boot, REST API development, full stack development, React and/or Angular, TypeScript / JavaScript, software design patterns, automated testing, and quality engineering.
- Cloud and DevOps experience with AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based development, Infrastructure as Code, container technologies, monitoring, and observability.
- Data and integration expertise across Snowflake, SQL, metadata management, data catalog solutions, data lineage concepts, enterprise data governance, data product lifecycle management, platform integration, and workflow automation.
- Leadership and stakeholder management capabilities, including technical leadership, architecture governance, vendor and stakeholder management, risk and dependency management, Agile/Scrum delivery, strategic thinking, and communication.

Nice to Have

- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise platform development.




- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale applications, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions.
- Experience defining target architectures, technology standards, integration strategies, and application roadmaps.
- Strong experience with enterprise systems integration, metadata management, and data platform ecosystems.
- Experience leading complex technical initiatives involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile product delivery and technical leadership in cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting regulated environments, governance processes, system lifecycle management, and compliance requirements.
- Experience driving architectural improvements related to performance, scalability, resiliency, and operational excellence.
