Head of Technology | Remote / Barcelona | B2B Game Provider

ABOUT THE COMPANY Our client is an international iGaming holding developing several B2B game providers for regulated and international markets. Their products include proprietary slot games, an in-house RGS platform, and integrations with gaming operators worldwide. One of their providers is already live and continues to scale, while they are now building the next new B2B product and looking for a Head of Technology to lead its technology strategy.

ABOUT THE ROLE As Head of Technology, you will work directly with the CEO and become one of the key technology leaders responsible for building and scaling a new B2B game provider. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will personally contribute to architecture, coding, and critical technical decisions, while building and owning the engineering organization, technical strategy, and delivery processes from the ground up. This is a highly autonomous role in which your decisions and direct involvement will shape product scalability, engineering efficiency, and business growth from day one.

PROBATION GOALS

- Build the engineering team from scratch
- Define the department's development strategy for the first 6 months, first year, and first three years
- Build a technology scaling roadmap covering platform architecture, RGS, automation, and engineering organization by the end of the probation period

RESPONSIBILITIES — WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Define and execute the company's technology strategy together with the CEO
- Be personally hands-on in architecture, technical decision-making, and, where needed, coding — especially in the early build phase




- Build and scale the engineering organization, including hiring, mentoring, and developing technical leaders
- Improve delivery processes, release predictability, and engineering productivity using Jira and engineering metrics
- Lead architecture decisions for the proprietary RGS platform and game production framework
- Drive engineering quality through test automation, release processes, monitoring, and observability
- Manage operator integrations, technical vendors, and outsourced development teams
- Introduce scalable engineering standards, reusable frameworks, and AI-assisted development practices
- Collaborate closely with Product, Operations, Commercial, Legal, and Finance teams to support business growth

REQUIREMENTS — WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

MUST HAVE

- Current or recent experience as Head of Technology, Head of Engineering, Architect, or similar hands-on technical leadership role at a B2B slot game provider
- Strong, hands-on technical background with deep expertise in either Cloud/Infrastructure (AWS, high-load distributed systems, scalable architecture) OR game development (slot production, game engines, front-end/back-end frameworks) — deep expertise in one area is required, not full coverage of both
- Proven,



personal hands-on coding experience — able to step in and contribute directly to development, not only manage from a distance
- Experience managing or being part of engineering teams within a B2B slot provider
- Experience building or actively contributing to scalable engineering processes and improving delivery performance
- Familiarity with proprietary game platforms, RGS, and operator integrations
- Upper-intermediate or higher English for daily communication with international teams

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience with GLI, BMM, or other certification laboratories
- Experience implementing AI tools within software engineering
- Knowledge of ISO 27001 and security governance
- Experience with crypto settlements or regulated gaming markets
