As Public Affairs Director for Spain and Portugal, you will lead government affairs, policy advocacy, and media relations to advance Intuitive's mission in the region. You will shape in-country strategies, engage key policymakers, and build strong, cross-functional partnerships to align with business priorities. You will manage external partners and represent the company at industry events and conferences. You will drive a proactive media program and thought leadership to amplify our position in healthcare policy and robotic-assisted surgery. This role offers the chance to influence policy, scale our regional impact, and work with a global Public Affairs team.

• Develop, implement and manage Government u0026 Public Affairs strategies and campaigns for Spain and Portugal, coordinating with regional and global teams.
• Advise senior leadership on stakeholder interactions and policy development to support business objectives.
• Manage external government affairs/public affairs firms and consultants as needed.
• Represent Intuitive in industry organizations and engage with trade associations, surgical societies, and advocacy groups.
• Synthesize complex policy issues into clear presentations and messaging for internal and external audiences.
• Attend meetings, events and conferences to promote the company from a Government Affairs perspective.




• Lead a strategic media relations program: monitor coverage, draft talking points and press materials, and coordinate approvals.
• Ensure consistent corporate messaging across Spain and Portugal, tailoring responses to cultural nuances.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, GAVE, Training, Legal) and with Global Public Affairs peers.

Responsabilidades
• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in Public Affairs, Media Relations or similar field.
• Proven government, political and/or campaign experience with strong advocacy and communications skills.
• Healthcare experience and familiarity with governmental decision-making is highly preferred.
• University degree.
• Fluent in Spanish; good command of Portuguese and English.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% in Spain, Portugal, Europe meetings, and to Sunnyvale HQ.
• Strong analytical, writing, and negotiation abilities; ability to influence a broad audience.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple campaigns across countries.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multi-country teams; comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a global corporate setting; willingness to take on projects beyond core duties.
