In this role you will lead AI-driven operations for AstraZeneca’s enterprise AI platforms, building and running observability and automation to improve running systems at scale. You will mentor L1/L2 SREs while hands-on delivering design and implementation across Azure and AWS environments. You’ll shape AI-augmented runbooks, incident analysis, and automated detection to reduce toil and accelerate platform readiness.

Compensaciones / Incentivos

- Design and maintain the central observability layer (Dashboards, alerts, telemetry) using Datadog, New Relic, Grafana or Splunk
- Architect and implement AI-augmented operations tooling (conversational runbooks, AI-driven incident analysis)
- Lead complex incident response with post-mortems and root-cause analysis
- Contribute instrumentation and patches to product engineering codebases for reliability
- Contribute to vendor evaluation of automation tooling and technologies
- Build and maintain automation that powers continuous improvement cycles and runbooks
- Own automation investments prioritized by frequency, resolution time, and blast radius




- Mentor L1 operators and junior L2 SREs to foster an engineering mindset in operations
- Shape platform operability during development with instrumentation and observability hooks
- Provide operational input to platform architecture reviews
- Collaborate with product teams on post-mortems and operational obligations
- Represent operational requirements in design discussions
- Prepare operational flywheel metrics (resolution rate, repeat incidents, automation coverage, toil)

Responsabilidades

- Significant hands-on SRE/platform operations experience at scale
- Strong expertise in observability tools and telemetry xugodme pipelines
- Proven automation design reducing operational toil with Python and Bash
- Cloud infrastructure experience (Azure and/or AWS) with containers, serverless, managed services
- Experience with post-mortems and preventive engineering work
- Ability to instrument systems and implement precise, meaningful alerts
- Mentoring experience and teamwork across multi-tier support structures
- Experience with incident response and handover processes
- Familiarity with AI/ML in operations (desirable)
- Knowledge of ITIL, SRE or operational excellence frameworks (desirable)
