Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior HR Business Partner to join a team helping to lead the Green Energy Revolution. As part of a global company with a clear purpose, this pivotal role will drive HR initiatives aligned with our business goals and support a growing workforce across multiple European jurisdictions, within a wider global structure.
Partnering closely with the Regional Directors and European Leadership Team , the successful candidate will enhance organisational effectiveness and foster a high-performance culture during a period of sustained growth.
This role has a Pan-European remit (excluding Germany) , covering Spain, Italy, Portugal, the Nordics, Benelux, and Croatia , and requires a strong understanding of diverse labour frameworks, cultural nuances, and scalable HR practices across multiple countries.
Overall, the Senior HRBP will be responsible for ensuring the business has the culture, capacity, governance, and agility to meet current and future challenges across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned to business objectives across multiple European markets.
- Promote company values and shape a high-performance, growth-oriented culture across diverse geographies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Regional Directors and senior leadership teams across the defined European regions.
Employee Relations & Compliance (Multi-Country)
- Act as the primary HR lead for employee relations matters across Spain, Italy, Portugal,
Nordics, Benelux, and Croatia.
- Provide expert guidance on local labour laws, employee relations frameworks, and regulatory requirements in each jurisdiction.
- Partner with local legal advisors and General HR to ensure compliance with country-specific employment legislation.
- Manage complex ER cases in a compliant, pragmatic, and culturally appropriate manner.
- Anticipate and mitigate employee relations risks during periods of growth and transformation.
Talent & Workforce Planning
- Develop and own the European People Resource Plan aligned to business growth across multiple countries.
- Lead succession planning initiatives and build a robust, future-focused leadership pipeline across the region.
- Design clear and scalable career pathways across international teams.
- Partner closely with Talent Acquisition to ensure workforce capacity meets current and future demand in each market.
Engagement, Performance & Culture
- Drive employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives in partnership with Global HR, ensuring local relevance and cultural alignment.
- Oversee performance management frameworks to enhance accountability and business outcomes across all regions.
- Support leadership development, coaching, and mentoring programs, particularly for first-time managers operating in international environments.
Organisational Development & Change
- Lead change management initiatives, including restructures, market expansions,
and operating model evolution across Europe.
- Ensure organisational design supports scalability, cross-border collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Support integration of new markets and teams as part of continued European growth.
Compensation & Analytics
- Partner with Group Compensation & Benefits to ensure competitive and compliant reward structures across all relevant European markets.
- Leverage HR metrics and analytics to inform workforce planning and strategic decision-making.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience within medium to large organisations.
- At least 3–5 years in a strategic HR Business Partner role.
- Proven experience supporting multi-country or regional HR operations across Europe.
- Strong working knowledge of employment legislation across multiple European jurisdictions (e.g. Southern Europe, Nordics, Benelux).
- Experience in high-growth or industrial/engineering environments preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent preferred.
- Multi-country European employment law knowledge required.

Additional Considerations
- Travel: Travel across Europe will be required at times tto support regional teams and business operations.
- Languages: Additional European languages are advantageous but not essential.
