Position Overview
This role is fully dedicated to financial, accounting and tax compliance of the SPA agreement with no additional cross-business tasks. Without this dedicated controller, the Group will bear financial risks up to 40 million euros caused by tax misinterpretation, accounting errors or non-compliant execution of contractual clauses.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct full accounting, monthly/quarterly/year-end financial reporting strictly aligned with all clauses of the SPA agreement.
2. Manage all local Spanish tax compliance including VAT, corporate tax and cross-border fiscal rules, eliminate risks of tax misdeclaration or misunderstanding.
3. Monitor all payment, collection, cost allocation and expense reconciliation related to the SPA; verify invoices, supporting documents and bank statements.
4. Issue dedicated financial performance & risk alert reports to China & Spanish headquarters, propose corrective actions for accounting/tax deviations.
5. Liaise with Spanish tax authorities,



external auditors and local banks to handle inspections, reconciliations and official inquiries under the SPA.
6. Collaborate with PMO and O&M; teams to align operational data with financial records and guarantee full contractual compliance.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Taxation; Spanish official accounting certification is a strong plus.
2. Minimum 3 years end-to-end finance experience in Spain, with solid knowledge of renewable energy fiscal regulations and cross-border commercial agreements.
3. Fluent Spanish and business English, capable of bilingual financial reporting; proficient with ERP and financial analysis tools.
4. Proven capability to identify and mitigate high-value financial risks tied to commercial contracts.
5. Based in Madrid; occasional travel to project sites for financial audit support required.
