The Role ?

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Data Ops team. In this role, you will lead the backend development of our internal applications, which directly impact Factorial’s sales and billing ecosystems.Your mission is to engineer highly resilient, scalable backend systems and robust cloud architectures that connect internal users, external clients, and financial workflows. You won't be managing data lakes or core data warehouses; instead, you will own the full product lifecycle from architecture to deployment. What will you do? ?️

Own the backend architecture of internal sales, invoicing, and billing applications, ensuring maximum availability, security, and performance using a modern cloud stack.
Design and maintain robust backend workflows capable of handling critical financial data with high reliability and fault tolerance.
Integrate general payment platforms and APIs (such as Stripe or Adyen)



to optimize our internal financial flows.
Develop end-to-end products with strong support from our design and product teams, ensuring applications meet the needs of both internal and external users.
Embed AI into your workflow using GitHub and modern AI tools to accelerate development and build smart agents.
Drive agile practices within the team, participating in structured Pull Request reviews, continuous deployment, and collaborative specifications.

Your Profile ?

Experience: You have 5+ years of professional experience as a Backend or Software Engineer.
Tech Stack: Strong foundation in database management, Docker containers, and modern cloud infrastructure architecture. You are language-agnostic and focused on choosing the best tool for the job.
Backend Robustness: Deep understanding of building reliable, secure, and production-ready APIs, handling concurrency, data integrity, and system monitoring.
