CRAG is offering a 4-year Predoctoral Grant (FPI Fellowship)CRAG is offering a 4-year predoctoral grant within the framework of the National Programme for the Promotion of Talent and its Employability in R+D+i (FPI Fellowships).
The fellowship is associated with the 'Knowledge Generation Projects' call and the training of predoctoral research staff linked to project PID2025-174872NB-I00 Wound-activated barrier regeneration: regulatory networks and targeted enhancement of cutin and suberin deposition (WOUNDNET).
Selection CriteriaThe evaluation process will follow the following criteria and subcriteria:
Criterion 1. Academic and/or Scientific-Technical Background of the Candidate (up to 50 points)
- Subcriterion 1.a): Scientific and Technical Achievements (up to 45 points). The candidate's academic record and other curricular merits will be assessed, as well as their suitability for the tasks to be carried out according to their academic background and professional experience.
- Subcriterion 1.b): Mobility and Internationalization (up to 5 points).



The relevance and impact of the candidate's stays in national or international research centres and/or in the industrial sector will be assessed, taking into account the prestige of the host institution and the activities carried out during the stay.

Criterion 2. Suitability of the Candidate for the Research Activities to be Developed (up to 50 points)
The candidate's suitability for the research programme and project will be evaluated based on their previous training and experience. Particular attention will be paid to the added value that the project represents for the candidate's research career, as well as the contribution the candidate can make to the host research group and institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and carry out a PhD research project focused on the remodeling of suberin and cuticle barriers.
- Establish the experimental approaches and technical expertise required to achieve the project objectives
