Regional Head of Quality – Continental Europe
This role exists to implement strategic initiatives, drive cultural transformation, and ensure organizational excellence delivering our Projects and Services. It plays a critical part in facilitating Quality Assurance and Quality Control planning and drive programs that builds on our strong Quality culture across the sub‑region.
By setting and measuring goals and ensuring synergy between people, processes, and tools, the role enables flawless and consistent execution of Projects and delivery of Services. It also focuses on building a competitively superior organization by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent —ensuring the right people are in the right roles at the right time to meet evolving project needs.
Ensure Worley Standards are fully understood and integrated into project quality plans through Quality planning and implementation of Quality activities. Ensuring that the Customer expectations are inbuilt into project Quality programs.
Represent the voice of the customer in all quality‑related matters across the locations in the sub‑region operations and projects. Lead resolution of customer quality concerns, non‑conformances, and audit findings in a timely and transparent manner.
Build strong relationships with project stakeholders, including customer Quality leaders, third‑party inspectors/auditors, and project delivery teams on mega and large projects. Ensures that medium and small projects retain the level of governance to ensure successful delivery.
Understand project delivery drivers (industry, customers, competitors, financial) to provide input to operations and project delivery strategy and execution methods. Is equally empowered to engage within the industry taking on knowledge and inward focus and innovative to improve operational effectiveness in quality management.
General Alignment and Consistency
Check the implementation of global quality standards and procedures across operations and projects, checking to ensure the alignment with Worley MS and international codes.
Provide input to operations and design location Quality strategy and annual plan, ensuring that global and regional Quality initiatives are effectively embraced at the sub‑region and location level. Where necessary support the on‑boarding of initiatives at locations or Projects where there is no dedicated Quality management.
Check consistency in quality execution across all the projects, and fabrication yards. Taking action to improve approach where necessary though escalation to Location management and sub‑regional leadership.
Contribute to regional quality forums, sharing insights and adopting best practices from other geographies.
Coordinate with the Regional Head of Quality on Major Projects and Programs resource needs and ensure operations and projects are supported by competent and experienced Quality professionals. Responsible overall for Quality Assurance and Quality Control functional activities across the Continental Europe business, defines the necessary QA and QC organization and resourcing requirements. Responsible for interface clarity and transition effectiveness at supply quality and quality control custody transfer.
Business and Project Performance
Accountable for identifying regulatory obligations, planning and executing sufficient activities and oversight to ensure controls remain effective in meeting these obligations for each of the businesses across the sub‑region.
Responsible for developing and keeping current the Continental Europe audit program that sustains business compliance and supports the planning and execution of global audit programs and actively manages the effective implementation of corrective actions raised in the audits to maintain compliance audit readiness
Support the location and projects in the development of project quality planning and check the effectiveness of execution team implementation in the project execution strategies.
Ensure implementation of performance metrics and KPIs for the Quality function and Quality specific aspects of operations and projects.
Collate and report the location quality performance metrics and KPIs, identifying trends and implementing measures to ensure continuous improvement.
Support the draft and escalation of quality events to operation and functional leadership, establish the expectations and investigation team for projects and ensure effectiveness of mitigation plans put in place.
Support the develop location Management Reviews and measure the effectiveness of the Management System implementation at the location and on projects. Provide leadership insight to the overall quality performance of locations across the sub‑region. Work with the Regional Director to consolidate the sub‑regional roll up report into the regional Management Review report.
Manage quality‑related costs through proactive issue prevention and lean practices, ensuring Quality resourcing is fully funded at the location and on projects through billable means.
Implements continual improvement initiatives gathered from projects and transforms learnings into project delivery execution improvements, seeks Regional Director support on mega and large projects.
One‑Networked Team
Establish and lead a high‑performing quality team across the locations in the sub‑regions, fostering collaboration and continuous development.
Engage the support from the Regional Quality lead in selection of mega and large project Quality leadership selections.
Promote cross‑functional teamwork between quality, engineering, procurement, construction and other functional support teams to delivery projects.
Collaborate with other regional Quality leaders on the implement of functional change initiatives,
ensuring representative locations in the sub‑region are included in the functional transformation.
Ensure knowledge sharing and alignment across other quality leaders in the locations across the sub‑regions, supporting a standardized one‑Worley way of working.
Expected to provide strategic support to the regional quality team and operational leaders.
Model inclusive leadership, encouraging diverse perspectives and building a culture of accountability and delivery excellence in locations and projects.
Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business, or related field.
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent auditor training that can be evidence with context and methodology of training and practical implementation.

3-5 years in quality leadership roles.

Approve GO mega and large project quality plans and resource allocations
Influence project‑level quality strategies and risk mitigation

Prioritize quality improvement initiatives across locations and projects
Provide input on approval decision for deviations, NCRs, and quality waivers
Endorse and ensure implementation of approved Regional and MPP Quality Plans
