About this Role

A high-impact and influential role in the Vodafone Business Group Products and Services team. The product economics manager has a crucial part to play in our strategy to drive significant growth in revenue and margin, across our integral product portfolios. Working across product lines and markets, you will build and share detailed understanding of product economics and identify opportunities to improve commercial performance. You will also design, create, and maintain a toolkit to enable Vodafone business products and services to be scaled across markets quickly, efficiently and with maximum commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities

This role reports into the Product Economics Senior Manager and will:
- Engage with local markets (OpCo’s), product teams, technology, operations, and commercial strategy to support and influence the commercial design for products throughout the lifecycle. This includes:
- Building and maintaining product cost models
- Identifying and documenting cost owners




- Understanding supplier contracts and business rules which have an impact on our cost base and product economics and identify opportunities to leverage
- Visualising cost components and the levers driving changes in both cost and price
- Providing requirements into market benchmarking and customer research to ensure it is actionable commercially and analyse outputs
- Conducting cost benchmarking analysis across products and vendors
- Providing guidance and consultancy particularly on cost
- Setting cost targets to ensure products can be sold profitably and competitively
- Build deep commercial product expertise including knowledge of suppliers, commercial terms, competitors, market trends, and technology
- Undertake regular analysis of unit and product economics and:
- Provide economic insight to key stakeholders across central and local market teams
- Highlight material cost changes and implications
- Make recommendations to maximise profitability
