We are looking for an experienced Senior Onboarding Officer to join our team in Valencia, Spain.
This is a senior hands-on role for an experienced KYC/AML professional who is confident managing complex and high-risk customer onboarding cases, exercising independent professional judgement, and contributing to the continuous improvement of onboarding processes.

Fluent Russian and English (written and spoken) are required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Independently manage the full customer onboarding lifecycle, including complex, non-standard and high-risk cases.
Perform comprehensive KYC/CDD/EDD reviews, including analysis of corporate and ownership structures, UBOs, Source of Funds (SoF), Source of Wealth (SoW), business models and expected transaction activity.
Identify inconsistencies, risk indicators and potential red flags and escalate cases where appropriate.
Ensure onboarding decisions, analysis and supporting rationale are clear, accurate and properly documented.
Act as a functional expert and provide guidance,



mentoring and support to other members of the Onboarding Team.
Contribute to and lead selected onboarding process improvement and optimisation initiatives.
Work closely with Compliance, AML, Risk, Legal, Sales, Operations, Product and IT.
Represent the Onboarding Team in cross-functional meetings, projects and discussions.
Support improvements to KYC systems, screening tools, workflows and operational controls.

What Are We Looking For

3+ years of relevant experience in Customer Onboarding, KYC/CDD, AML, Compliance or Financial Crime within a regulated financial institution.
Experience within an EMI, Payment Institution, fintech or bank is strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, KYC, CDD/EDD, sanctions and customer risk assessment.
Proven experience independently handling complex, non-standard and high-risk onboarding cases.
Strong understanding of corporate structures, UBO identification, SoF/SoW and business model assessment.
