We are currently seeking a Data Center Technician to join one of our largest clients in Spain, Madrid. This role is well suited for someone with hands-on technical skills who enjoys working in a structured data center environment and following established standards and procedures.ResponsibilitiesPrepare, stage, set up, and perform start-ups and shutdowns of data center equipment such as racks, hard drives, switches, and servers, following detailed instructions, checklists, and standard operating proceduresPerform post-deployment quality checks, ensuring grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling meet safety requirements, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs)Carry out diagnostics and troubleshooting according to standard procedures, quickly identifying root causes and replacing faulty components (e.G., motherboards, CPUs, IPUs,



memory)Decommission hardware for basic changes and refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds, in line with documented processes and with minimal supervisionCommunicate clearly, document work, and report or escalate incidents to the appropriate Data Center Technician Leads as requiredRequirementsBasic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and internal components1 year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technologiesProven experience with troubleshooting and replacing defective hardware componentsPrevious data center experience is considered a strong advantageMust already be living in Spain, Madrid (no relocation support available for this role)
