Snowflake Data Engineer - Spain (Remote) We've been engaged by a high-profile, global client in Spain to support build out their Data Engineering capabilities, centred around Snowflake. Responsibilities: You will be responsible for designing, developing and optimizing scalable and reliable data pipelines, ensuring high standards of quality, performance and maintainability within modern Data Warehouse environments. You will primarily work with Snowflake, contributing to the implementation and evolution of data solutions that support large-scale analytical and business needs. You will collaborate in the design and implementation of efficient data models, applying best practices in data modelling, optimization and data governance to ensure the scalability and sustainability of solutions. You will participate in the continuous improvement of the data platform, identifying opportunities to optimize processes, queries, data models, and integration workflows. You will contribute to solution design discussions, leveraging your technical expertise to evaluate alternatives and understand the impact of architectural decisions on implementation, performance, and scalability. Key skills: 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer working in cloud environments and modern data platforms. Strong experience in the design, development, and maintenance of Data Warehouses and analytical data solutions. Advanced experience with Snowflake,



including data modelling, performance optimization, warehouse management, logical partitioning strategies, and scalability best practices. Advanced SQL expertise, including query optimization, window functions, CTEs, analytical modelling and performance tuning. Experience building and maintaining robust, scalable, production-grade data pipelines. Solid understanding of the different phases of the Data Warehouse lifecycle and data modelling best practices. Experience working with Git and collaborative development environments. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into high-quality technical solutions. Strong understanding of data architecture principles and how design decisions impact the maintainability and scalability of solutions. Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including version control, CI/CD, and agile methodologies. Curiosity about emerging technologies and industry trends, with a willingness to experiment and continuously propose improvements. Ability to communicate effectively in English in order to work in integral environments and collaborate with international teams. Extra plus, if you have: Experience with dbt for data transformation and data modelling. Experience working in modern ELT environments. Snow Pro Core OR Advanced Certifications
