We are seeking a skilled Pathologist to join our team for annotating human cells in whole-slide images. The role involves identifying and labeling histopathological features to support AI/ML model development in digital pathology.
Key Responsibilities
- Review whole-slide images using cloud-based image management systems
- Identify and classify lesions according to project-specific guidelines
- Annotate predefined histopathological features in human cell samples
- Ensure annotation quality, accuracy, and consistency across datasets
- Document findings and maintain detailed annotation records
- Participate in quality assurance and peer review processes
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to enhance model performance and annotation accuracy
- Provide feedback on annotation guidelines and workflows
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree with specialization in Pathology (MD/MBBS or equivalent)
- Board certification in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology
- Minimum 3-5 years of subspecialty experience in histopathology
- Demonstrated diagnostic concordance on validated cases
- Active participation in peer review processes
- Strong performance in practical slide-based assessments
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow standardized guidelines
Technical Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with whole-slide imaging (WSI) platforms
- Proficiency in digital pathology tools such as HALO, QuPath, and ImageJ
- Familiarity with AI-assisted diagnostic workflows
- Experience with quality assurance processes in digital pathology
- Understanding of machine learning concepts in medical imaging (preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in AI/ML data annotation projects
- Knowledge of cloud-based image management systems
- Ability to adapt
