Position Overview

WTTC is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Website Manager to join our Strategic Communications team and take ownership of the organisation's WordPress ecosystem.

This role is responsible for ensuring WTTC's websites remain secure, high-performing, accessible, and aligned with the organisation's brand and business objectives. Working closely with Strategic Communications, Marketing, Events, Membership, Research, and external development partners, the Website Manager will oversee the day-to-day management of our digital platforms while continuously identifying opportunities to improve the user experience, optimise performance, and enhance operational efficiency.

This is not a pure web development role. Instead, we are looking for someone who enjoys maintaining, improving and evolving digital platforms, combining technical knowledge with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a service-oriented mindset. The successful candidate will act as the internal owner of our websites, ensuring they remain reliable, modern and capable of supporting WTTC's global activities.

The idóneo candidate is comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and leveraging AI and modern digital tools to improve productivity and website management.

Key Responsibilities

Website Management & Governance

- Own the day-to-day management and maintenance of WTTC's WordPress websites.
- Maintain governance standards across all websites, including user permissions, publishing workflows and content management processes.
- Manage themes, templates, plugins and site configurations following best practice.
- Coordinate with external web development partners for complex developments, infrastructure improvements and major releases.
- Monitor website health, identify issues proactively and coordinate resolutions.

Content & User Experience

- Support internal teams with website content updates, page creation and digital publishing.
- Ensure all content complies with WTTC brand guidelines and editorial standards.

- Optimise website content for SEO, accessibility and user experience.
- Review website performance regularly and recommend improvements to navigation, content structure and usability.
- Maintain consistency across all digital properties.

Technical Management

- Make front-end updates using HTML, CSS and JavaScript where appropriate.
- Manage and evaluate WordPress plugins responsibly, ensuring compatibility and performance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues across browsers, devices and operating systems.
- Support authentication, user management and gated content functionality where applicable.
- Work with analytics tools to monitor website performance and user engagement.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

- Act as the primary internal point of contact for website-related requests.
- Provide guidance and light training to colleagues using WordPress.
- Work closely with Strategic Communications, Marketing, Membership, Events and external partners to deliver digital projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve website processes through automation, AI and digital innovation.
- Stay up to date with emerging WordPress, accessibility, SEO and web technology best practices.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be a technically capable, organised and proactive web professional who enjoys balancing technical execution with stakeholder collaboration. They will have a strong sense of ownership, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality digital experiences.

They will be comfortable working in a fast-paced international organisation, managing competing priorities while maintaining a customer-focused approach to supporting internal teams.
