Human Computer, a San Francisco-based company, is looking for a passionate Technical Artist with strong Unity experience to join our remote team in Spain.
In this role, you will help us assemble, light, and optimize 2D scenes for our platformer game, working closely with both art and tech teams.
We’re looking for someone who combines visual sensibility, technical understanding, and hands?on production experience in real?time 2D/3D environments.

Requisitos mínimos
Proven experience assembling scenes in Unity (2D or 3D), with clean hierarchy, efficient asset usage, and solid scene organization.
Strong understanding of real?time lighting and performance optimization.
Strong sense of composition, atmosphere, and readability.
Fluent English (mandatory) for daily internal communication and documentation.
Requisitos deseados
Experience working on 2D platformer games, including level layout, pacing, and visual storytelling.
Familiarity with custom pipelines or internal tools, and ability to adapt to proprietary workflows.
Background in Technical Art, Level Design, or Environment Art, with a strong understanding of how visuals support gameplay.
Ability to identify and resolve scene?related issues, such as lighting artifacts or performance bottlenecks.
Strong artistic sensibility, with the ability to enhance mood, atmosphere, and visual storytelling through scene composition.
Ability to create shaders, either through hand?written HLSL code or Shader Graph, depending on the needs of the project.
Responsabilidades
Assemble and texture 2D game levels in Unity, ensuring clean hierarchy, efficient asset usage, and clear scene organization.
Light the environments using our internal lighting solution, achieving consistent mood, readability, and visual cohesion across all levels.
Optimize scenes for real?time performance.
