Role Description
This full-time, on-site Backend Engineer / Software Architect Senior role is based in Barcelona. The role focuses on designing and implementing scalable backend architectures that support high-growth B2B fashion resale platforms. Daily responsibilities include developing and maintaining backend services and APIs, optimizing performance and reliability, and ensuring security and data integrity. The person in this position will collaborate closely with front-end engineers,



product managers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate business needs into robust software solutions. The role also involves reviewing code, mentoring team members, improving development practices, and contributing to long-term technical strategy and architectural decisions.

Qualifications
- Strong experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, building scalable, maintainable systems.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming principles, including clean code, testing, and design patterns.
- Hands-on exposure to Front-End Development sufficient to collaborate effectively with front-end teams and design API contracts.
- Experience designing and owning software architectures for distributed or cloud-based applications.
- Knowledge of modern backend frameworks, databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), and API design (REST
