We are looking for a
Senior Platform Security Engineer
to support a major financial services organisation in securing its enterprise Agentic AI and Machine Learning platform.
The initial project will focus on the first platform runtime built on
Databricks and Microsoft Azure
, with further runtimes expected to follow. This is a hands-on engineering position for someone who can embed security directly into the design, development and operation of a modern cloud-native platform.
This is not a security gatekeeper or purely governance-focused role. You will work closely with Platform Engineers, MLOps Engineers and Security Engineers to help teams deliver quickly while maintaining a strong security posture.
Responsibilities
• Lead threat modelling for new platform capabilities and architectural changes
• Define and implement platform security guardrails and engineering standards
• Drive security hardening across Databricks, Azure and Kubernetes environments
• Review technical architecture and identify security risks early
• Improve identity and access management controls
• Lead vulnerability management, risk assessment and remediation prioritisation
• Partner with platform and security teams to implement secure-by-design solutions
• Provide technical input into security audits and compliance activities
• Help improve security awareness and maturity across the AI platform
Required experience
• Strong hands-on platform engineering or cloud security experience
• Experience securing cloud-native and Kubernetes-based platforms
• Strong knowledge of security architecture and threat modelling methodologies
• Good understanding of identity and access management
• Experience managing vulnerabil
