About the job Based at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, within the Culinary Department, the Culinary Trainee supports the Kitchen team while developing a comprehensive understanding of culinary operations,



food preparation techniques, hygiene standards, and luxury hospitality service. The Culinary Trainee reports to the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie.

As Culinary Trainee, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Ensure that the uniform provided is clean and in good condition, maintaining exemplary personal appearance and hygiene standards at all times.
Ensure personal knives and kitchen tools are kept clean, sharp, and properly maintained.
Prepare and organize the daily mise en place required for kitchen operations. 4. Work collaboratively as part of the culinary team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Prepare meats, fish, garnishes, and other food items according to established recipes and quality standards.
Cook and present dishes ordered in the hotel's outlets following culinary and presentation standards.
