Role: Agentic AI Engineer

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Type: Contract (B2B)

Job Description:

1. Strong Python & FastAPI expertise – Experience building asynchronous APIs, background tasks, streaming responses, and well-structured Pydantic models. A solid understanding of backend application development is essential.
2. LLM & AI Agent Engineering – Hands-on experience with modern AI agent frameworks (such as PydanticAI, LangGraph, LangChain, or similar), prompt engineering, tool calling, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). Strong understanding of common LLM challenges, including hallucinations, context management, and non-deterministic outputs.
3. Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) – Deep knowledge of document chunking strategies, embeddings, vector databases (e.g., Qdrant, pgvector), retrieval optimization, citation grounding, and techniques for improving retrieval accuracy and relevance.
4. React & Modern Frontend Development – Proficiency with React (Hooks), responsive UI development, CSS, and building interactive user experiences, including streaming interfaces.



Strong troubleshooting skills for frontend behavior and layout issues.
5. Concurrency & State Management – Solid understanding of concurrent application design, request-scoped state management, thread safety, synchronization mechanisms, and best practices for avoiding shared-state issues.
6. Docker & Kubernetes – Comfortable working with containerized applications, deployments, debugging workloads, and managing the day-to-day development lifecycle in Kubernetes environments.
7. Testing & Code Quality – Experience writing comprehensive unit and integration tests using tools such as Pytest and Vitest, along with effective use of mocks, fixtures, and automated testing practices.
8. Debugging & Problem Solving – Strong analytical skills with the ability to trace complex issues across frontend, backend, and AI application layers, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
