Be Local Explorers
is beginning to build a network of exceptional local guides for our first collection of regenerative slow-travel experiences, launching in 2027.
We are currently inviting expressions of interest from guides based in, or with strong professional knowledge of:
- El Hierro and La Palma, Canary Islands
- Asturias, Spain
- Rota Vicentina, Portugal
- Slovenia
Our journeys are designed for small groups of up to eight adults and combine nature, local culture, gentle outdoor activities, independent producers, meaningful encounters, and moments of reflection.
We are not looking for conventional sightseeing guides. We are looking for calm, knowledgeable, and emotionally intelligent professionals who can create genuine connections, share a destination with sensitivity, and understand when to guide—and when to allow silence.
Adecuado profile
- Professional guiding experience and any required local licences
- Excellent spoken English
- Deep knowledge of the destination and its local communities
- Experience leading small adult groups
- Confidence accompanying gentle walks and outdoor activities
- First-aid training or willingness to obtain certification
- Strong relationships with local producers, artisans, or community initiatives
- Interest in responsible or regenerative tourism
- A warm, adaptable, and thoughtful approach
- Openness to contemplative activities, including silent walks, meditation, yoga, and moments of reflection
