Role Description The Research and Development Engineer will work on-site at Nuvathings' facility in Sant Boi de Llobregat in a full-time capacity.
This role involves designing, developing, and improving hardware and embedded systems for industrial, agricultural, and critical infrastructure applications, ensuring robust performance under real-world conditions.
Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting technical research, creating prototypes, performing laboratory and field testing, and analyzing data to refine product designs.
The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer and market requirements into reliable products, support product documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of existing solutions.
The role also includes troubleshooting issues, validating new features, and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards.
Qualifications Candidates should possess strong analytical skills to evaluate system performance, interpret test results, and solve complex technical problems.
Candidates should possess Research and Development (R& D) and Research skills to explore new technologies, validate concepts, and drive innovation in communication and Io T systems.
Candidates should possess Testing skills to design test plans, perform laboratory and field validations, and ensure reliability in demanding environments.
Candidates should possess Product Development skills to turn requirements into robust designs, create prototypes, and support transition from concept to production.
Relevant qualifications include a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with Io T communication technologies (e.g., NB-Io T, Lo Ra/Lo Ra WAN, LTE-M), embedded systems, and sensor integration is highly beneficial.
Experience in embedded C, C++, JAVA programming.
Familiarity with industrial automation protocols, data logging, and power-efficient system design, including solar-powered solutions, is an advantage. xqbhyrx
Ability to work collaboratively on-site, document work clearly, and communicate technical findings to multidisciplinary teams is expected.
