Role overview:

Based at our Cornellà site, this position combines global Supplier Quality Management with the full responsibility and authority of a Certified Welding Engineer (CWE).



The role acts as the welding authority within the supplier landscape, ensuring compliance, qualification, and continuous improvement of welding-related processes in the railway environment.

This is not a general SQM role — CWE competence is fundamental to the position.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as CWE / welding authority for integral suppliers, ensuring compliance with EN 15085, AWS, and related standards.
- Lead supplier welding qualifications, welding procedure qualifications, welder approvals, and audits (internal & external).
- Drive strategic supplier quality development, including qualification, pre assessments, audits, and continuous improvement programs.
- Lead SQM activities within projects (D2C, part qualification, risk assessments, specification reviews).
- Manage supplier quality escalations and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Contribute to commodity strategies, sourcing decisions, and supplier evaluations as SQM r
