JOB SUMMARY:

Supermicro seeks an experienced Staff Data Center Electrical Engineer to lead
the design and development of high-density data centers for AI, cloud, and
hyperscale use. This position will shape Supermicro’s electrical standards, OPR,
and BOD documentation for new and expanding projects in the U.S. and globally.

The engineer will apply expertise across voltage systems, coordinate with
mechanical, civil, and controls teams, and work directly with consultants,
utilities,



and construction partners to deliver efficient, reliable,
cost-effective, and compliant data centers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Oversee electrical design for new and retrofit data centers covering power,
grounding, lightning protection, and controls.
* Create and update integral electrical standards, OPRs, and BOD templates for
consistency.
* Prepare and check SLDs, load calculations, power analyses, and arc flash
studies.
* Select equipment including generators, switchgear, transformers, UPS, PDUs,
busways, and battery backup or supercapacitors.
* Work with mechanical, network, and architectural teams on integrated layouts.
* Manage consultants and vendors to meet specs, codes, and permitting
requirements.
* Support site selection and utility coordination, assessing grid options,
redundancy, and costs.
* Review documents and shop drawings for technical accuracy.
