Responsibilities
- Review and validate tooling supplier deliverables across all project milestones, including concepts, layouts, 3D/2D drawings, BoMs, manufacturing documentation, and certification packages.
- Identify technical deviations, non-conformities, and open points, ensuring timely resolution and acceptance.
- Lead technical acceptance activities and verify compliance with Airbus tooling requirements and guidelines.
- Coordinate weekly follow-up meetings with suppliers, tracking progress, risks, and pending actions.
- Act as the technical interface between Airbus stakeholders and tooling suppliers.
- Support risk assessments, LAI gap analyses, and design maturity reviews using APQP principles.
- Ensure tooling traceability and compliance with Airbus standards, documentation requirements, and processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in tooling design, manufacturing engineering, mechanical integration, or tooling acceptance activities.
- Strong ability to review and validate 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings.
- Aerospace industry experience, ideally within Airbus programs or supplier environments.
- Good understanding of tooling development processes, manufacturing documentation, and supplier management.
- Proficiency with CATIA V5 (mandatory).
- Knowledge of Airbus tools such as AIRINA, ATAME, Normmaster, and PLM systems (3DX, VPM, ENOVIA) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
