The Role Tax Technology Specialist – responsible for billing systems and invoicing compliance across markets.
Own the end‑to‑end invoicing compliance process, including invoice design, field validation, and regulatory alignment across general markets.
Configure and maintain tax determination rules within billing and invoicing platforms, ensuring accurate tax calculation at point of invoice generation.
Partner with product, engineering, and finance teams to build scalable invoice templates that meet local statutory requirements.
Lead testing and validation cycles for invoice‑related changes, including system upgrades, new market launches, and regulatory updates.
Identify and resolve invoicing discrepancies and tax mismatches; elevate complex issues to senior tax leadership as needed.
Support audit readiness by ensuring invoice archives are accurate, complete,



and easily retrievable.
Create training materials and conduct knowledge‑sharing sessions for billing operations and customer‑facing teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
~2‑3 years of experience in tax technology or billing operations, with a primary focus on invoicing solutions.
~ Hands‑on experience with tax engines (Vertex, Avalara, or equivalent) integrated into billing systems.
~ Familiarity with subscription billing platforms is a strong plus.
~ Solid understanding of indirect tax regulations (sales & use tax, VAT) as they relate to invoice content and timing.
~ Experience working cross‑functionally with engineering and product teams on invoicing automation projects.
~ Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; SQL experience preferred.
