QA Lead | Barcelona (Hybrid) | Freelance | Long-Term Project

We are looking for an experienced

QA Lead

to define and drive the quality strategy across a complex, backend-oriented, multi-squad technology programme. The idóneo candidate combines

QA leadership, delivery coordination and strong backend/integration testing expertise , with the ability to establish a robust, traceable and pragmatic QA operating model across multiple teams.

What you'll do • Define and maintain the overall

QA strategy, standards and ways of working

across the programme. • Coordinate QA activities across multiple squads, ensuring consistency in execution, evidence, reporting and defect management. • Oversee test coverage across

API, integration, contract, regression, negative scenarios, business workflows and risk-based testing . • Ensure appropriate validation of

authentication, authorisation, roles & claims, tenant isolation and service interactions . • Work closely with Product, Business Analysis, Architecture, Development, DevOps and external stakeholders. • Drive

quality reporting, traceability, audit readiness and release-readiness recommendations . • Collaborate with

IV&V; (Independent Verification & Validation)

teams, supporting evidence preparation, defect clarification and follow-up. • Ensure traceability between requirements, tests, defects, evidence and delivery outcomes. • Oversee the appropriate use of





AI-assisted QA/test generation , ensuring outputs meet established quality standards.

✅ What we're looking for • Strong experience leading QA within

complex software delivery environments . • Previous experience coordinating QA across

multiple squads or teams . • Strong understanding of backend testing involving

APIs, integrations, workflows and data validation . • Experience defining

test approaches, quality gates, defect triage, reporting and release-readiness processes . • Ability to work confidently with developers, architects, DevOps and other technical stakeholders. • At least

3–4 years of experience with Salesforce, Boomi, Oracle NetSuite or Zuora Billing . • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills. •

English C1/C2 .

⭐ Particularly valuable • Experience with integration-heavy or distributed architectures. • Background in regulated, security-conscious or highly governed environments. • Familiarity with

CI/CD quality controls, structured evidence management and traceability . • Experience working with external validation, audit or compliance teams. •

ISTQB or equivalent QA certification .
